Hidden Tabs
Are you working with a document and no matter how hard you look, it seems as if your favorite feature has vanished from the new version of Office? Even though Microsoft left us high and dry by taking away our familiar “File”, “Edit”, etc. menus, they have not actually taken away any features. They’re still there, but sometimes they don’t appear right in front you and you have to do some digging.
Some features of Office will open up temporary "hidden" tabs just for the feature you are trying to use. For example, notice the menu bar before we insert an image…

But look what happens if we insert an image into our document, and then click on the image…

Did you notice the new “Picture Tools: Format” tab in the image above?
Lets try to insert a table now. And look what happens…

Some commands will only appear when you use that particular feature. Keep an eye open for these “temporary” tabs that appear as you work…
