Microsoft Office 2007
Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar
Are there some features of Office that you find yourself using on a daily basis, that you’d like to have quick, one-click access to without having to dig for it? Office 2007 comes with a new “Quick Access Toolbar” that allows you to add your favorite tasks to a convenient one-click interface.

For this tutorial, lets add the Print Preview command to our quick access toolbar.
Click the down arrow next to the Quick Access tool bar. From the menu that drops down, choose “More Commands”

A new window will pop up with a list of Popular Commands. Lets look at all the tasks that are available. Click the drop down arrow that is circled in red on the image below, and then choose “All Commands” from the menu that appears.

Now that all commands are showing up, scroll down until you see Print Preview.

Click “Print Preview” and then click the “Add” button.

“Print Preview” now shows up on the column to the right, meaning it is now available on your Quick Access Toolbar. This is now saved on your template, so everytime you open Word, it will appear on your toolbar. (NOTE: The Quick Access tool bar you configure in Word will only appear in Word. You must configure a separate Quick Access tool bar for each of your Office applications. In other words, the Quick Access Toolbar you created in Word will not automatically appear in Excel. You must go into Excel and reconfigure the toolbar for it.
